Our Story
Barika began with a chance meeting at a train station.
A train station, and a walk to Washington
The founder was at a train station on the way to an event called Walk to Washington. So was Hery Zo Andriamiarana, from Madagascar. The two met there, and that meeting started Barika.
Barika Global is the result: a marketplace where African farmers and producers sell their own products to US customers, starting in Madagascar, while Barika handles the selling.
